Enjoy an Educational & Entertaining Cave Tour!

Talking Rocks Cavern is open year round. Talking Rocks Cavern is vertical in nature, and has concrete handrails and steps throughout the cave. People of all ages go into our cave on a regular basis where they can enjoy the comfortable 63-degree cave air.

The hour-long tour of Talking Rocks Cavern is what we call “edutainment.” This means that the cave guides focus on education, as well as entertainment. You will learn about the caves discovery and related history, as well as learn about the mineral deposits and other geological information. Our cave guides are ready to answer your questions and can find answers to those questions they may not already know.

Talking Rocks Cavern was first named “Fairy Cave” by the early cave developer Turman Powell after he first explored the cave. His comment was that it looked like “a subterranean fairyland”. The caves name was changed to Talking Rocks Cavern in 1969 when Silver Dollar City purchased the cave. They chose to change the name based on a quote from Waldo Powell, son of Turman Powell. Waldo would spend a lot of time looking at the rocks and mineral deposits in the cave, and noted that the physical evidence in the cave would tell him a story about how it formed. Thus, it was an inspiration for the new name “Talking Rocks Cavern.”

After your cave tour, check out our 4,000 square foot Rock & Gift Shop. Other above-ground activities include Cave Country Miniature Golf and gemstone panning. The nature trail, lookout tower, shaded picnic areas, new Kid’s Play Area, large outdoor checkerboard and two SpeleoBox crawl mazes are FREE for our guests!

Tickets are valid any day of travel. One hour guided tours depart frequently all day.

THE BEST CAVERN in BRANSON
Posted by Jimena Keira on Dec 26, 2022
Our family has toured a few different caverns and this was a very interesting one, for sure. It was a really neat experience to be able to walk through a formation! As others have warned, it was mostly a steady walk down and then back up as the cavern is not wide, just deep. It is also very wet! So it is definitely not meant for everyone. But, for the most part, the railings and steps are fine to navigate. The story of how it was discovered is a must read as you enter the gift shop. It helps you to appreciate what you experience as you tour the cavern. I would definitely recommend this cavern as a worthwhile stop on a Branson vacation.
What a BEAUTIFUL CAVE!

I love cave tours, and I go to each one I can find. I have never been to Talking Rocks Cavern before, and I can't figure out how I missed this one all the other times I was in Branson. The amazing thing about this cave is that the formations are just inches from you. Going through it really affected me. I pondered both the beauty and the fragility of the formations. This is a wet cave. So be prepared for drips, and watch your steps, so as not to slip. Above all, respect the formations by not touching them.
GREAT TOUR GUIDES!

So glad this was our first cave experience! Kenny was a phenomenal guide. He was genuinely kind to our kids and very knowledgeable! His enthusiasm for the cave system was contagious and our boys will forever call it cave bacon! You won't regret visiting! Wear waterproof shoes with good non-slip soles. There are 2 tight squeezes with awkward footing but SOOOO worth it!
Don't Forget to Wear PPE's

Wow. That is my first response to this adventure. The cave was absolutely amazing! It was wet, so make sure you wear closed toe shoes! Our tour guide Taylor was impressive with his knowledge and his humor. We enjoyed him very much. You really must go see this beautiful, natural spender!
Beautiful cavern!

Our tour guide was Casey. She was great and very knowledgeable. The stairs are narrower, but still easy to walk through. Definitely wear closed toed shoes. Try to get on a tour without small children. It’s not a very good cave for small kids as there’s a lot of handrails they try to climb on. Also the tour layout makes it difficult to hear the guide if kids are talking. Would recommend to the cavern to set certain tours specifically for visitors with young kids, so others can get the full experience. Definitely worth the money.
