The Historic Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama is the action-packed live reenactment of the famous historical novel by Christian minister, Harold Bell Wright. Published in 1907, this beautiful story tells of life in the rugged Ozark Mountains of Missouri in the late 1800’s.

Over 90 actors and actresses, horses, sheep, mules and donkey’s perform on a stage the size of a football field. There’s a shoot-out, the actual burning of a log cabin, a love story, a mystery and a moral message that is as true today as it was over a century ago. Over 8 Million Tickets Sold!

The Canopy Zipline Tour was a lot of fun for my kids. They had a great day and felt extremely safe and at ease with the two guides. They relished every moment of it! Fantastic for all ages! Ages in our group ranged from 12 to 22. Everyone had a wonderful time!

What a wonderful adventure! John the Cowboy was a great history teacher / tour guide. He is quite knowledgeable about the past of the Shepherd of the Hills and the neighborhood, and he enthusiastically responds to any questions.!

An entertaining show of Branson's history and the beloved 1907 novel Shepherd of the Hills by Harold Bell Wright. The cast is wonderful and welcoming; everyone is committed to making the audience have a good time. This outdoor theater experience was made much better by the lovely Fall weather.

The scenery outside is extremely peaceful! We found the play to be quite entertaining, and we particularly enjoyed the cast's preshow interactions with the audience's young members. There was a lot of enthusiasm at the concert. We enjoyed the historic story line!
